A hardy evergreen shrub with an upright growth In early Autumn. The flowers are large, deep crimson red, semi double with ruffled petals, It is a hardy, long living shrub that can grow into a small tree. It looks great in a feature pot and also makes a wonderful hedge or espalier against a wall at a spacing of 60 cm – 1 m apart. Like all camellias it prefers a slightly acidic soil
Grows to 2.5 m x 2.5 m at a rate of about 75 cm per year. It can be trimmed.
