A very juicy and strong scented, lemon-like fruit with a mild, refreshing grapefruit-like flavour. A hybrid of lemon and mandarin. The fruit can be eaten fresh or juiced. A heavy cropper.

Lemonades are self-fertile, so you only need one tree for fruit. Like all citrus, they thrive in a sunny spot, with rich and well drained soil. Lemonades need regular watering (keep soil moist all year round) and are heavy feeders so feed twice a year with a citrus fertilizer

While this tree might survive a mild frost once established, it prefers a sheltered spot that protects the fruit from strong wind.  Also avoid planting close to other citrus varieties as cross-pollination between citrus can cause seedless varieties to develop pips.  

THe abilty to keep it small by pruning in the Spring makes this a suitable plant to grow in a container
