Full description:

This native shrub is a prostrate form with attractive \'marbled\' leaves. Tangled juvenile foliage. White flowers are followed by purple fruit, which ripen to black from March-May. Nectar September-April. Intolerant of drought and wind. Does best on a moist semi-shaded site. Okay on coast. Evergreen. Frost tender when young.

 

 Prefers a deeply dug, good soil and must be kept moist as it will show stress very quickly - in the form of shrivelled leaves  Plant in a sheltered position where it can remain moist and is wind protected, sun or shade is fine and estaplantsblished  can withstand frost. 
Suits a gully, pond or wetland edge alongside other moisture-loving species
